A Final Worthy of the Occasion

The JCL26 Final delivered drama from beginning to end as Jesus House FC and Calvary Chapel battled for the biggest prize of the season.

JHFC struck first, but the impressive debutants responded before halftime to send both teams into the break level at 1–1. Jesus House regained the lead in the second half, putting themselves within touching distance of the trophy. But Calvary Chapel refused to go away. Their response came in spectacular fashion. From approximately 30 yards out, Calvary Chapel produced a stunning free kick that sailed over the wall and into the top-right corner, leveling the match at 2–2 and sending the final straight to penalties.

Penalty Drama and a JHFC Hero

The shootout could hardly have started worse for Jesus House FC as they missed their third penalty. Then their goalkeeper stepped up. With the championship on the line, the JHFC shot-stopper produced two crucial penalty saves, turning the shootout in his team's favor. Jesus House held their nerve from there, eventually winning 5–4 on penalties to spark jubilant celebrations.
